Nominations for the inaugural edition opened in February 2026 and closed on April 30, 2026, drawing entries and community nominations across all twelve categories at no cost to entrants. The judging panel — chaired by founder and Head Judge Charles Floate — independently pre-scored entries to build each category shortlist in May.
In June, every shortlisted entry went through the verification pass that separates this program from every other SEO award: live rankings, organic traffic trajectories and link profiles were checked against independent tooling, alongside Google Search Console data where entrants chose to share it. The panel’s final votes were cast on verified numbers, and winners were announced online on July 10, 2026.
Work completed between January 2025 and April 2026 was eligible for the 2026 edition. Judges could not enter and conflicts were recused. One winner — PressWhizz, Link Building Company of the Year — is founder-affiliated: the affiliation is disclosed on the category page, Head Judge Charles Floate was recused from the category, and the independent panel decided it on verified placement data alone. The 2027 cycle is open now.
